Product managers, RTEs and anyone running refinement who wants the order argued from numbers instead of volume.
How it works
- Add each item with a title and, if it helps, a note.
- Click the relative values — one, two, three, five, eight, thirteen, twenty — for business value, time criticality, risk reduction and job size.
- Read the ranking, with a warning where two neighbours sit within five per cent of each other, then copy it out as Markdown or print it.
Questions
- What is the formula?
- Cost of delay is business value plus time criticality plus risk reduction and opportunity enablement. The score is that total divided by job size, shown to one decimal.
- What happens to an item I have not sized?
- A job size of zero cannot be divided, so the item is listed separately as not yet rankable instead of being ranked at the top by accident.
- Can I get the ranking out?
- Yes, as a Markdown table on the clipboard or through the print view. There is no CSV export in this tool.
