1. Service and provider
The RTE Toolbox is a digital platform providing interactive tools, curated reading, and community discussion for Release Train Engineers and agile practitioners, available at rte-toolbox.com. It is operated by Gavant, the Netherlands (contact: toolbox@gavant.eu).
2. Accounts
Anyone may create an account; an invite code is optional. You must confirm your email address before signing in. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
3. Plans and prices
Explorer is free and includes the tools marked free. Practitioner (€6 per month, or €60 per year) includes all Practitioner-tier tools. Enterprise (€11 per month, or €110 per year) includes all tools. Which tools sit in which tier is shown in the toolbox itself; tools marked "coming soon" are not yet part of any plan. Prices are in euros and include Dutch VAT where it applies.
4. Payment and renewal
Paid plans are billed in advance through Mollie (iDEAL, SEPA Direct Debit, credit card, Bancontact or PayPal). Your first payment establishes a mandate; the plan then renews automatically at the same price and interval — every month for monthly plans, every year for annual plans — until you cancel. The next renewal date is shown on your account page. If a renewal payment fails, access continues for a grace period of 14 days while the payment is retried, after which the membership is paused until payment is made.
5. Discount codes
A discount code applies to the plan and interval it was issued for. On monthly plans it reduces the price for the number of months stated when you enter the code, after which the full price applies. On annual plans it reduces the first year's payment only. The exact amount and what follows are shown before you pay.
6. Immediate access and the right of withdrawal (consumers)
Consumers in the EU normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Before you pay for a membership we ask you to tick a box in which you expressly request that the membership starts as soon as your payment is confirmed and acknowledge that, by asking for immediate access to this digital service, you lose your right of withdrawal (Article 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code, Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU). The moment of your consent is recorded with your payment. Without this consent no payment is started.
If you started a membership before 5 September 2026, the 14-day right of withdrawal described in the conditions in force at that time still applies to your first payment; write to toolbox@gavant.eu or use the withdrawal option on your account page while it is shown there.
7. Cancellation, upgrades and resubscribing
You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; access continues until then and no further payments are taken. No partial refunds are given for unused time in a period (other than under clause 8).
Upgrading to a higher plan starts the new plan immediately; the previous plan's billing stops and its remaining period is not refunded. Resubscribing after a cancellation, while your paid period is still running, is charged when you resubscribe and the new period starts the day your current access ends. Downgrades are handled by cancelling and starting the smaller plan when your period ends, or by writing to us.
8. Refunds for faults
If a payment error or a technical fault on our side prevents access after a successful charge, we refund that period in full within five business days.
9. Intellectual property and sources
The software, copy, and design of The RTE Toolbox are owned by Gavant. Several tools build on published frameworks and models (for example SAFe, ADKAR, ORID, Westrum's typology); the names and original works belong to their respective owners and each tool names its source. You may use the tools and their outputs for your own professional practice; you may not redistribute, resell, or reproduce the platform itself.
10. Data and privacy
How we handle personal data — yours and that of participants in sessions you run — is described in the Privacy Notice, which forms part of these conditions.
11. Availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uptime. Planned maintenance is announced in the bi-weekly update where possible.
12. Governing law
These conditions are governed by Dutch law. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably fall under the jurisdiction of the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands; consumers may also use the EU online dispute resolution platform.
