How it works
- Write the proposal, and choose whether you enter the votes or people vote in a second tab on the same machine.
- Collect the votes on the seven-point scale, with names against them if the room wants them on the record.
- Close the poll and read the recommendation: consensus, dissent noted, a reservation to surface, a polarised room, or a block that stops the decision.
Questions
- Can people vote from their own phone?
- Not in this tool. It runs in one browser, and a second tab on the same machine is as far as it goes. Live Session Polls is the tool for a room on their own devices.
- What does it recommend?
- One of six outcomes, tested in a fixed order of priority from a principled block down to a clean consensus, each with the facilitation move that follows from it.
- What comes out?
- A Markdown table of the distribution with the names, the recommendation and a closing script, on the clipboard or through the print view.
