Release Train Engineers, facilitators and trainers who want an energiser chosen for a reason, and who would rather not promise a room something the research does not support.
How it works
- Choose what the next exercise is for, such as generating ideas, deciding or speaking honestly, and say how many minutes, how many people, and whether you are in a room or on a call.
- Read the state to aim for across six systems, from dopamine and adrenaline to oxytocin and cortisol, then take the suggested primer or pick from every activity that fits your constraints.
- Run it from the full-screen timer with the script beside it, rate how it landed, and plan a primer for every block of a whole workshop day.
Questions
- Does it measure or change hormone levels?
- No, and it says so on screen. Nobody is measured. Activities are sorted by the state that research links them to, and each carries a grade for how well its effect on mood, energy or performance has been shown.
- How long do the activities take?
- Between one and ten minutes. Many can be done in a single minute, and the suggestion never asks for more time than you said you have.
- Does it work for remote and large groups?
- Yes. Set the group anywhere from one person to a hall of more than forty, and choose a room, a video call or hybrid. Activities that need movement, noise, materials or contact can be switched off.
